DID YOU KNOW?
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a life-saving technique used when a person’s heart stops beating or they stop breathing. CPR involves performing chest compressions—and in some cases, rescue breaths—to keep oxygen-rich blood flowing to the brain and vital organs until professional medical help arrives. Without immediate CPR, brain damage can begin within just 4 to 6 minutes, and survival becomes less likely with each passing moment.
CPR matters because most cardiac arrests happen outside of hospitals, often in homes, schools, or workplaces—places where trained medical professionals aren't immediately available. That means the person most likely to save a life is not a doctor or EMT, but someone like you. Learning CPR gives you the power to step in during an emergency, bridge the gap until help arrives, and possibly save a loved one, coworker, or stranger. It’s not just a skill—it’s a powerful act of care, courage, and community.
