This interactive instructor-led, video-based course teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies with confidence and care. Designed for individuals with little or no medical training, it covers essential first aid skills, CPR for all ages, and how to use an AED effectively.

You’ll receive your official AHA eCard by email the SAME DAY you successfully complete the course and skills check-off—perfect for employment verification and credentialing.​

Practice on adult, child, and infant manikins to build muscle memory and real-world readiness.

Work through realistic, instructor-led emergency scenarios—from bleeding control to asthma attacks.

However, the American Heart Association (AHA) does offer an optional exam for students whose employers or regulatory agencies require it.

All necessary materials will be provided during the class.

CPR & AED Skills:

  • Perform adult, child, and infant CPR
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) with confidence
  • Respond to choking emergencies (conscious and unconscious)
  • Understand the Chain of Survival and act quickly in cardiac arrest

 

First Aid Skills:

  • Treat bleeding, wounds, sprains, and burns
  • Respond to seizures, strokes, allergic reactions, and asthma attacks
  • Use an EpiPen and understand how to manage anaphylaxis
  • Recognize and respond to diabetic emergencies and shock
  • Handle heat exhaustion, hypothermia, poisoning, and bites/stings

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for everyone including teachers, coaches, childcare providers, workplace staff, church teams, community members, and babysitters. Whether you’re required to have certification or simply want to learn life-saving skills, this class is for you—no medical background needed!

No, Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is not the same as BLS (Basic Life Support). Heartsaver courses are designed for individuals with little or no medical training—such as teachers, coaches, and the general public—who need certification for work or personal knowledge. BLS, on the other hand, is intended for healthcare professionals like nurses, EMTs, and hospital personnel. If you’re unsure which course is right for you, we’re happy to help you choose!

Yes! You’ll receive an official American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification eCard that’s valid for 2 years—emailed to you the SAME DAY you complete the course.​

Yes. The Heartsaver certifications expire after two years, and a renewal course must be completed to stay certified.​

Yes, it meets OSHA requirements and is widely accepted by employers, schools, and volunteer organizations.

Bring a valid photo ID, notebook/pen, and wear comfortable clothing for physical practice. Course materials will be provided or available beforehand.
