This course is a instructor-led, video-based course, built to prepare you for the real-life demands of the healthcare environment. It is designed to teach high-quality CPR, AED use, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants. Emphasis is placed on team dynamics, single- & multi-rescuer scenarios, and the latest AHA guidelines.

We keep class sizes small to ensure personal attention and a comfortable learning space, ideal for asking questions and practicing at your pace.

You’ll receive your official AHA eCard by email the SAME DAY you successfully complete the course and skills check-off—perfect for employment verification and credentialing.​

You’ll work with realistic manikins and AED trainers to practice and master lifesaving skills through guided scenarios.​

Our AHA-certified instructors provide clear, engaging, and supportive instruction, including feedback during hands-on practice.

All necessary materials will be provided during the class.

In addition to everything you’ll learn in the Basic Life Support (BLS) course, you’ll also learn:

 

  • First Aid basics
  • How to recognize and respond to a wide range of everyday medical emergencies.
  • How to treat injuries like bleeding, burns, sprains, and broken bones, as well as how to respond to sudden illnesses such as allergic reactions, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Preventing illness and injury

What You Will Learn

  • Perform high quality CPR for adults, children, and infants using the latest American Heart Association guidelines.
  • Recognize cardiac and respiratory emergencies and take immediate, lifesaving action.
  • Safely and confidently operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Deliver effective rescue breathing using a pocket mask or bag valve mask.
  • Apply the Chain of Survival to improve outcomes during emergency situations.
  • Work effectively as part of a coordinated emergency response team.
  • Respond to choking emergencies for adults, children, and infants.
  • Assess and care for victims experiencing respiratory arrest or poor circulation.
  • Demonstrate competency through hands on skills practice and course assessment to earn a two year American Heart Association BLS certification.

What is Basic Life Support (BLS)?

No prior experience is necessary. The class is open to beginners and provides hands-on training.

Bring a valid photo ID, notebook/pen, and wear comfortable clothing for physical practice. Course materials will be provided or available beforehand.

Yes. To receive certification, students must pass both a written multiple-choice exam and a hands-on skills evaluation.
